Habitat for Humanity Honors Local Volunteers

at 2011 Volunteer Recognition Dinner

Several local heroes were honored with Silver Hammer and Silver House Awards by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland at our Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner at Woodfords Club in Portland on Thursday, March 31, 2011.

State Farm, Tyler Technologies, and The Maine Mall each received a Silver House Award.

Silver Hammer Awards were presented to:  Maxine Spohr and Harley Lewis of Portland;

Phil Gage of South Portland; Martha Palmer and Greg Walsh of Cape Elizabeth; Judy Horn of Otisfield; Mick Hutchinson and Trevor and Krissy Hanley of Brunswick; Art Birt, Gary Eckroth and Ron Bancroft of Cumberland; Rachel Battarbee, Allyson Kreft, Cathy Cryvoff-Rusiecki and Matt Cartmel of Freeport; Ellen Patterson of Yarmouth; and Holly MacEwan of Falmouth. Fellow volunteers, Habitat Staff, Board Members, and homeowner families were on hand to recognize their achievements.
