DONATION GUIDELINES
This list is conditional, depending on circumstances - Please call ahead before donating materials to the ReStore.

KITCHEN AND BATH FIXTURES (PLUMBING)
Accepted: Claw-foot tubs, corner tubs, and other architecturally significant tubs and sinks; one-piece shower stalls or enclosed tubs (white or off-white); complete vanity sets (base cabinet, top and sink with faucets) w/ neutral colors and no water damage - faucets preferred; radiators in excellent condition; complete toilets in white/off-white; new hot water heaters or used (inspected by staff)
Not Accepted: incomplete vanity sets; wall-mounted bathroom sinks; colored toilets or partial units; faucets, drains, shower heads or towel bars; PVC parts; medicine cabinets; bathtubs (except as noted)

CABINETS
Accepted: Kitchen cabinets in good condition, preferably of plywood construction (not particle board); straight countertops in neutral colors measuring at least 4’ by 18”
Not Accepted: countertops with cut-outs or L-shaped; water damaged cabinets; heavily soiled cabinets

DOORS
Accepted: Interior and exterior doors free of peeling paint; solid-wood paneled doors; sliding glass doors—assembled in frame; steel-insulated paneled doors
Not Accepted: hollow-core doors; doors with rot, damaged corners; half-light wooden doors; single sliding glass doors, unassembled; steel commercial slab doors

HARDWARE
Accepted: Door knobs, locks w/ keys; hinges; clasps; handles; tools (hand and power); fasteners; unopened boxes of nails, screws, bolts, etc.

Not Accepted: locks without keys; broken items; loose nails, screws, bolts, etc.

INSULATION
Accepted: Fiberglass insulation rolls only if unopened; insulation board if clean and boards 16 ft² or larger
Not Accepted: used or unwrapped fiberglass insulation; insulation board less than 16 ft²; cellulose

LUMBER & PLYWOOD
Accepted: Framing lumber 6 ft or longer free of nails, screws and staples, free of rot and unpainted. may be pressure-treated; finished 1x and trim suitable for interior use over 4 ft and free of nails; plywood, OSB, or particle board measuring 16 ft² or larger
Not Accepted: painted or stained wood; wood with nails, screws, or staples; cracked, broken, rotted or warped lumber or plywood.

PAINT AND ACCESSORIES
Accepted: new or used brushes, rollers, new naps and pans; gallon size primer or neutral colored latex paints & stains; new caulking
Not Accepted: rusty gallon sized paint cans; oil-based paints

Accepted: corrugated metal roofing/ standing seam – no rust; three tab asphalt shingles in quantities greater than 100ft² unopened

Not Accepted: shingles less than 100ft² or partial spools of paper/felt

FLOORING
Accepted: Ceramic kitchen and bath tiles - unopened in quantities of 50 ft² or larger; rolls of new carpet and vinyl-minimum 50 ft²; hardwood flooring-minimum 100 ft

Not Accepted: tile with broken corners, grout/mastic on either face; used carpet, carpet padding

WINDOWS
Accepted: Double paned or insulated windows of any composition or style, frame free of rot; wooden shutters in good condition; true divided light (2 over 2 or 3 over 3) wooden sash windows
Not Accepted: storm windows, single-pane windows, single-pane with storms; picture windows; vinyl or aluminum shutters; rot or breakage

LIGHTING
Accepted: At the discretion of ReStore staff—prefer eclectic/unique fixtures
Not Accepted: fluorescent fixtures; ceiling fans; brass/beveled glass combos

MISCELLANEOUS
Accepted: Rolled aluminum flashing; rebar, steel studs, copper; stairways in good condition; fencing

Not Accepted: fireplace screens or grates; duct work

APPLIANCES
Accepted:
Only new or “like new”- 10 yrs. Old or less: refrigerators, freezers, electric or gas ranges, stove tops, dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers, microwave ovens.
